My cat, Crystal, is 12 years old and developed a horrible fear for Micio Meow, my other 2 year old cat. I placed 4 drops of the Bach rescue remedy in Crystal's water for some days and I noticed that her behavior changed. Yes, she is still a little neurotic, but she didn't mind Micio Meow's presence near her.

It worked! At least with this issue. I am glad that Bach developed something for pets, including cats, which we have to be careful about giving them natural stuff. Deepnding on the herb, it can harm or even kill your pet..

The 4 drops I placed on her water was tasteless. I know Crystal. She is the pickiest cat on this earth.

Having a pet is a commitment. We are responsible for them until they die. They also get old and need our full attention. In my opinion, one of the saddest situations is to see an old dog having a difficult time walking.

I did a product review on CareLift Full-Body Lifting Harness from Solvit. It's for dogs that need help to get around. It improves mobility for older, injured, or invalid pets.

This is a great product and I tested it on a young and very active dog to see if he would mind to be lifted. This harness doesn't hurt the dogs. It's easy to assemble and they feel comfortable on it. It lifts from both hips and abdomen to reduce stress and we can easily carry them around.

I was at Superzoo last year and I stopped by Cat Dancer's booth. I got the Rainbow CatCharmer toy to review. At that time I didn't think much of it. Just a plastic stick with a cloth attached to it.

My cats just loved the CatCharmer! It's durable. They've been playing with it for almost 6 months and it's still intact. Cat Dancer, the toy company, claims that this toy can hold up to 30 lbs without breaking, which does!

I also like the fact that the string is not made of fathers and therefore it doesn't get my cats in a hunting mood.

I've reviewed the Cat-Man-Doo dried Bonito Flakes and Life Essentials Freeze Dried Chicken. I picked Crystal, my finicky cat to try these treats. To my surprise, she ate them!

She sniffed the Bonito Flakes a lot and then she ate it. These flakes are high in protein and low in calories with a minimal fat content. Crystal didn't have any problems eating the Cat-Man-Doo Life Essentials Freeze Dried Chicken. It's made of chicken white breast meat and they don't use any chemicals additives or preservatives to dry the chicken breast.

Cat-Man-Doo is a family owned and operated business and their products are being well reviewed by humans and cats.

Cool Blue Dog Apparel is for that hard to fit breeds such as English Bulldogs, French Bulldogs and Pugs. It is made in the USA in the Garment Center in New York City.

I got the Red Hoodie style and I tested on my judge "Buster", a Boston Terrier.

The Red Hoodie dog clothing material is cotton/poly fleece. There is a Velcro closure located under belly that makes it simple to get on/off. Buster felt very comfortable and warm dressing in this Red Hoodie. Vince, Buster's owner, took him to play at the park and the clothing didn't seem to impair Buster's movements. He ran and played just fine.

We all know if we eat and don't exercise we will gain weight. What about our dogs? Yes, the ones we just take for a walk three times a day and give them tons of treats. Do they gain weight like us? Yes, they do.

Once again, at the Superzoo Trade show I came across the DogTread by PetZen, which is the only dog treadmill to offer a low-profile natural running platform designed specifically to help reduce joint stress and fatigue on dogs.

This time, I didn't need any preparation for my product review. At their booth, they had this cute and nice little dog on the treadmill walking and enjoying himself. Krista Wickens, the owner of DogTread, told me that it's very easy to train any dog to walk on the treadmill. They include an instructional DVD with the treadmill.

The quality of DogTread is excellent. Besides the quiet motor, it's constructed to handle the demands of everyday usage. It also has variable speed controls, a remote control, which we program time and distance, and adjustable incline to simulate outdoor ground. If you live in an apartment, don't worry, Dog Tread is built with a compact space-saving design with wheels that make them easy to store and transport.

I received 3 samples of Dr Emmo's products. Wound Care Wash, Wound Care Spray Gel, and the Ear Care Rinse. I took two of the products to Brazil and I tried them on my mom's dogs and cats.

I used the spray gel on Uri's eczema. Uri is about 14 years old, and during summer time he suffers a lot. The gel seemed to protect his skin and it's painless. Uri didn't complain.

I also used Dr Emmo's ear care rinse on Caca, the Persian cat. He also felt better. Dr Emmo's products have good ingredients and they won't harm any pets.

I reviewed Earthbath Green Tea Shampoo and Spritz, and the Green Tea Grooming Wipes. I took these products to Brazil and tested on my mom's cats and dogs. To my surprise, all pets loved it. Somehow, my mom's pets felt an instant relief. Of course, it was summer time in Sao Paulo, so these products made them feel good.

The green tea shampoo has nice leather, great scent, and washes off very easily. The dogs' coat felt soft and clean. The Spritz left Gringo's hair (the Lab dog) with a nice sheen and very soft.

The highlight of their products is the Green Tea Grooming Wipes. Uri, the oldest dog, has terrible skin eczema. Once he felt the wipes on his skin, the facial relief was absolutely visible! Plus, these wet wipes cleaned his coat as well. We also cleaned Caca, the Persian cat, who hates anything wet. He just loved being cleaned with this wipe.

I received some waste bag samples from Eco Dog Planet to review. Their waste bags are made from a tapioca derived film. Tapioca is a plant and the company claims that these bags start to decompose when exposed to micro-organisms in soil or landfill, and therefore, makes it eco-friendly.

I like the concept of helping the environment. These waste bags are tick and they feel different from the other bags. It feels more rubberized. I received some product samples from Epi-Pet to review. Their products are to control pet odor, scratching and skin irritation.

I got their Pet Sunscreen, which I used on my mom's Lab, Gringo. His coat was soft and he didn't have any bad reaction from it. I also received their Skin Enrichment Spray (Cedar/Mint), Skin Enrichment Spray (Unscented) and Skin Enrichment Spray (Lavender). All three products do the same thing. They reduce itching, skin irritations and repel insects.

Since I tested Epi-Pet products on my mom's pets in Brazil, I noticed that mosquitoes didn't get near the dogs. Gringo, the Lab, had a skin irritation on his front right leg, and I could see the improvement on his leg with a continuous use of Epi-Pet Enrichment spray. The same happened to Uri, the oldest dog. I saw some improvement on his dried skin.

Both product lines, sunscreen and skin treatment have good ingredients.

I got some waste bags samples from Flush Puppies to review. They are made from Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA) , a water soluble material, which means that we can flush it down the toilette.

Besides its great packaging, these waste bags are durable. I've been waiting for a long time to have some waste bags I could toss in the toilette. Why? I have three cats, and these bags are great to clean their feces in litter box. Many times, scooping the litter is not an answer for me. I always drop some litter on the floor.

I reviewed Fresh Dog which is a deodorizing powder for dogs. It has a perfect pH balance and it instantly freshens your dog's coat in minutes when you don't have time to give him a bath.

The Ingredients: are Sodium Bicarbonate (Baking Soda), Zea Mays (Corn Starch), Silica, Essential Oils (Lavender & Rosemary). Of course, a bath is better, but this powder is an alternative to bath.

I tested it on Charlie. He is a white dog, and after Simon, his owner applied Fresh Dog on Charlie. He felt fresh, and he didn't mind the dust during the application.

Dogs have prblems with their hips and joints just like we do, and these issues affect all breeds of all ages. The key to recovery is early detection and treatment. But more than an early detection is prevention, which in engineering it's called quality assurance.

Unfortunately, dogs don't tell us they are sick. But, subtle hints will provide the clues that something is not right with your dog's health. Pay close attention to their activity levels along with their eating, drinking and sleeping habits. When something changes, you will be able to respond quickly and avoid unnecessary delays in treating your dog.

I received dog treat samples from Zukes called Hip Action. Each treat contains 300 mg of Glucosamine and 50 mg of Chondroitin, plus essential co-factors to maximize absorption and eggshell membrane. These ingredients are supposed to decrease joint pain and increase mobility in your dog.

I gave Hip Action treats to total of 9 dogs, and they all approved its favor (see video with 3 dogs). Their price is good, about $8.00 to $9.00 depending where you shop, and it can be found at most pet stores.

The dosage is 1 treat daily for small dogs, 2 treats daily for medium dogs, and 3 treats for large dogs.

I received a bandana sample from Hoo Rag to try it on my pets. I went to their website to see how to wear it and I found that this rag can be worn in many ways. Then I tried it on my friend's dog, Barley. He didn't mind it, and he really looked cute!

These bandanas are from a lightweight cotton-polyester blended micro-fiber. The fabric is "stretchy" so that it is truly a one size fits all product.

Because its light weight, I decided to try it on my cats, and for my surprise, they were fine wearing it. I really think the Hoo Rag team should develop a special bandana line for cats.

I reviewed KONG Safestix which is a throw and fetch toy, and KONG Traxx which is a durable tire chew and toy for dogs.

My judge, Charlie, approved these toys. Both toys seemed durable and dogs can chew on them safely.

Kong sent me some dog treat samples. So, I reviewed the bacon meaty flavor bites, beef mini meaty bites, and sweet potato stix treats. I got Barley as my judge and he approved all of them.

All Kong's treats have great ingredients and nutrients. My only concern is that dog owners may get carried away and feed their dogs too many treats. The left over treats I had, I fed other dogs, and they all went nuts for them. Dogs love the taste of Kong treats. They find them irresistible!

I've received this leash to review, which is called LeashLocket, which is a retractable leash that dogs can carry right on their existing collars or when you want your hands free while out with your dog.

LeashLocket is made of a durable material, it's ergonomic, and has a nearly 6-foot lead. It comes in two sizes; for dogs up to 55 pounds and for dogs up to 90 pounds.

I let two dog owners review this product (see video). Both dog owners said that it is different from other retractable leashes because it fits on the palm of their hands, but they liked it. Both dog owners told me that it's perfect for travelling.

I did a Pet Product Review on Mr. Chewy pet food online store. They carry more than 70 popular and premium brands of pet food.

I checked how Mr Chewy website performed against some basic criteria such as look, content, branding, service tools, online interaction, e-commerce, and security. I recorded my computer screen so viewers can have the same experience I had when I was shopping at their website.

I really liked Mr. Chewy website. It got five paws rate! It's simple and I didn't waste any time trying to find a specific product. It was all there.

My Perfect Pet is frozen dog food. One of My Perfect Pet staff delivered some food samples to me about a week ago. He had in his car two beautiful Boxers who I really enjoyed meeting. These dogs had an amazing shinning hair and sparkling eyes. I could really see how healthy they were.

Well, I got two dogs (Oliver and Buster) to try My Perfect Pet blend food bars and treats. The food is made with fresh ingredients. No processed foods, dehydrated or freeze-dried ingredients are used. A variety of formulas are available, including chicken, beef, turkey and salmon.

I received some product samples from Pet Kelp to review including their powdered seaweed formulas and dog treats. Pet kelp powdered formulas contain over 70 nutrients, which are essential to dogs and cats diet. I mixed some with my cats' wet food. I could see some improvement in their coat texture and sheen.

I also gave a package of Pet Kelp Wellness Formula to Buster, a Boston Terrier, who was diagnosed with a brain tumor. He felt better and his coat is beautiful as well.

Then I got Barley, the Pincher, to try the treats. He loved the taste of the Cranberry, Blueberry Cove, and their Apple Splash flavors.

For all nutrients that Pet Kelp products have, I think it's a must to include them in our pet's diet.

My mom has 3 big dogs. One of them is very old and we have to walk him separated from the other two. The other two dogs are just impossible to walk together. They pull me and they get tangled. It's awful, so we walk them separately as well.

At Superzoo I met Panje Gish, the owner of Pet Walker Plus which manufactures the original "no-tangle leash." This leash offers ease and control when you walk two dogs (my case). It is a single handle with two leashes with a swivel coupling. It's patented anti-twist, anti-tangle leash design provides an effective system for multiple dog handling.

Panje demonstrated to me how these leashes work. Separate leads allow pet owners to control and correct each dog when needed. Leads have snaps at both ends allowing pet owners the option to walk one or two together.

It was amazing not seeing them tangling on each other. I think it's a clever idea, especially for big dogs, who easily get us under their control.

I received a case of Petit Cuisine cat food to review. I opened the case, I opened a box, I opened the can and fed one of my cats. Crystal went nuts for the food. I thought: "Maybe it is the flavor or maybe she is hungry". I fed my two other cats, and they also went nuts for it.

After trying Petite Cuisine cat food, my cats don't want any other wet food. It's amazing!

I researched the company and food ingredients. Each package has one can of each flavor: Tuna & Swordfish, Tuna, Salmon & Egg Whites, and Salmon & Whitefish. Each appetizer is natural, clear, and free of GMO and Grain.

I have tried many other cat food brands, but Petit Cuisine is the WINNER! I hope to continue receiving samples from them. My cats will be grateful for the rest of their lives!

I did a product review at the Superzoo Show on Petloo. I talked to Tobi Skovron, the founder and CEO, who kindly showed us their products.

For starters, The Pet Loo is a backyard in a box for dogs. Kind of a dog toilet! It's easy to use and it's ideal for pet owners who live in apartments, condos or houses and don't have time to keep up with scheduled walks.

The Pet Loo has a urine draining system and a synthetic grass pad. It's resistant to the acidity of urine and the accompanying smell which ensures a long-lasting and hygienic product. It also holds up to 300 kgs, which is great for big dogs.

A few weeks ago I received a set of 4 dog socks, the Power Paws, from Woodrow Wear for my pet product review. I tested them on Rusty, this beautiful dog, who lives with two children; Jamie and James. I asked the children to help me to do this product review and see how easy was to put these socks on Rusty paws. For my surprise, it took no time for the children to put the socks on Rusty and it took Rusty about 2 minutes to get used to the socks. The children loved it. These socks are soft and very comfortable for any dog.

The Power Paws have many benefits such as preventing dogs from slipping on tile, wood floor and getting hurt, paw wound protection, weather, allergies, etc.

Once again, at Superzoo, I saw these cool flashlights that caught my attention.

Puplight is a LED flashlight a dog wears on its collar to light the way. I talked to Jackelyn Simoni, the president of PupLight, who told me that it makes dogs visible up to a mile away and allows us to see hazards ahead such as dead animals, poisonous animals, rancid food, holes, uneven sidewalk, and ice.

PupLight also helps dogs see better, especially senior dogs with cataracts can't see well in the dark. PupLight has a fur guard which keeps the dogs hair away from the light. It uses AAA batteries and lasts up to 150 hours.

I like the idea of making my night walks safer. Well, this product became very popular and Jacklyn launched the NekLight, which is a Wearable Light for People.

I left some toys with my friends and they told me that their dogs prefer the Ruff Dawg toys over the others and they still look new.

Wendy, the girl I talked to at Simple Solution's booth, told me that each pad is up to 300 washes and it's 10X more absorbent than standard economy pads. It helps you do your part for the environment by reducing the use of throw-away products.

It's made of a quilted polyester top sheet and absorbent core. Simple Solution goal is to reduce 400 tons of landfill waste annually while helping you care for your pet.

How many different types of stain removers have you tried in the past 5 years? If you are like me, you probably tried different brands to see which one will perform the best.

I received some pet stain and odor removers from Simple Solution to do my usual pet product review. I decided to try one of them in 100% white cotton cloths with four different types of stains to see if that product really works. I used 100% white cotton material because cotton fibers are well known for their color absorption.

My stains were yogurt & blueberries, mud, coffee, and cat vomit. I used a product called Triple Oxy Power for this stain remover test. I sprayed the stains and I let it set for 5 minutes.

For my surprise, all the stains disappeared from my white cotton samples in 5 minutes. I recorded the entire test, which can be seen below. I highly recommend this product, because if it worked on cotton, it will also work on carpets and synthetic fibers.

We all hate fleas and bugs on our pets, and there many flea medicines available in the market. They are expensive but easy to apply on our pets. However, I always end up with some liquid on my hands when I squeeze the medicine on my pets.
I received a flea medicine sample from Adams that included their Smart Shield Applicator for my pet product review.

I tried this applicator on Oliver, the black Lab, and it worked great. It was easy to apply, and no liquid spills on my hands. I just needed to insert the medicine inside the applicator, close it, and press it on Oliver's coat. I just wish all flea medicines came with their applicators.
It takes about 15 minutes to take effect and it kills fleas, mosquitoes, and ticks. The products contain Insect Growth Regulator (IGR), which kills flea eggs and prevents reinfestation.

We take care of our pets as best as we can. When they have a surgery or are hurt, they leave the vet office with those hard plastic cones that are not ergonomic at all. It's a necessary evil to prevent pets from biting or licking their wounds or stiches. Pets with these cones have a hard time eating, sleeping and they get very irritated. I put myself in their shoes, and it's not fun.

At Superzoo, I met Nancy Winestock, the president of StopBite. She manufactures this collar that is a great alternative to the traditional cone.

I met Dana Humphrey at Superzoo show who introduced me to Sturdi Products. They manufacture pet carriers, bags and accessories.

Sturdi Products has an excellent quality and they are soft and comfortable for pets. They had a cat and a dog at their booth enjoying themselves inside these carriers.

Sturdi carriers are the best alternative to take your pet travelling or on the road, and they are washable.

Sturdi Products also have "Show Shelters", which are designed for pet exhibitors, and they are big and comfortable for pets. The Shelters are available in single, double and triple compartment styles. This is a great alternative to the exhibitor cages.

Another great product they have is called The Pyramid, which offers your pet a safe and swinging place to literally "hang out". This hanging Pyramid is great for cats who like to be in elevated locations. They can run and jump inside it and even take a nap.

Sally, with her great Australian accent, is a big fan of Tea Tree Oil. No wonder!! Tea Tree has wonderful properties such as antimicrobial, which fights bacteria, yeast and fungi. I always used Tea Tree Oil when I have weird rashes on my skin.

While at Superzoo I met David Pankey who introduced me to Vet-Aid products. They had two products; the Sea Salt Wound Care spray and foam.

The Vet-Aid spray is a sterile sea salt and lysozyme formula that can be applied on wounds, and then wrapped under bandages or left open for wounds to heal. It can also be used on open draining wounds and on or around lesions in the mouth, nose, eyes and genital areas.

Vet Aid Foam is an intriguing formulation that also has a coral reef sea salt and lysozyme as a base. It contains a silicone ingredient that creates a protective coating over more mature wounds to help protect as it accelerates healing.

When it comes to our pet's nutrition we want the best for them. We also know that the pet industry is growing in an exponential rate, and there are more pet food options than 5 years ago. I got some pet treats samples from Whole Life pet food. Every treat they sell is made from human-quality, hormone-free, free range, organic meats, and freeze-dried.

Whole Life also claims to know each of their farmers, ranchers and fishermen.

It was my first encounter with these freeze-dried treats. I did my research to make this product review (this is not an advertisement for them) and this is what I found:

Their freeze-dried treats are made in small fresh batches, from pure ingredients, minimally processed, no chemicals, additives or preservatives.

Well, it's all good, but I was curious to see if dogs and cats would like it. I gave these pet treats (chicken and beef flavors) to 5 dogs and 4 cats, and all of them loved their flavor. I was very surprised, especially with the cat's reaction, because they tend to be pickier than dogs. I recorded 3 dogs and one cat eating them (watch video).

I received some samples of Yeoww cat nip toys. Of course, I tried them on my cats.

The result? They went absolutely nuts with the toys. They loved it. I've tried other cat nip toys and dried herb before, but none of them made my cats react the way they did. The only cat nip they reacted to besides Yeowww is the real plant I buy at the garden store.

All their toys are well made, durable and cute. Even if a toy is broken, the cats can eat the herb inside. I ripped one of their toys to check its content. Catnip, Nepeta cataria, is a member of the mint family of herbs and it's safe for cats and humans.
